S.O.S. officially has no acronym although many think it is "Save Our Ship."  The letters signified by the signal ( . . . --- . . . ) prescribed by the International Radiotelegraphic Convention of 1912 for use by ships in distress.  It was simply an easy and clear message to get out on wireless telegraphy.  S.O.S is a cry for help!

MLMers need to cry for help also.  Many run into sabotage, sometimes it is self sabotoge, other times it is sabotage by others.   My business has been sabotaged in every way other the last 7 years; by me, my upline, my downline, a company owner, sideline, etc. etc.

The key to mlm S.O.S.  - Salvation over Sabotaged - is to not accept a victim mentality, but take control over YOUR business, and first survive, then flourish.

Self Sabotage to me is the most frustrating.  I can't control others when they get jealous, insecure, threatened or idiotic - that is just part of life and competition.  What I can control is ME.  When I don't, I am the only one to blame.  Self

Self Sabotage can take many forms, not limited to:

*Inconsistent Action (you get something going, but change marketing strategy when some new "secret" comes along.)

*Unproductive activity (you think you are working, but you are just playing.  Unless you are exposing your business to new people, you are just playing.) 

*Depressed (for a day, week, or even months - you allow your mood to affect your business practices and activity.)

*Distracted (you really don't have a system to follow that YOU believe in, so you fall for every new idea your company or upline comes up with because "Joe" recruited tons of people doing it.)

*Ignorant (you don't know what you don't know.  You don't learn what it takes to make a professional income in this profession.  You believe the lies and hype that anyone can do it.)

*Leadership errors (you make major mistakes in building your team - this skill is the hardest one to learn, but must be developed if you have aspirations for a professional level income.)

The snowball effect to mlm success is simply to have fun.  (A quick explanation to all my friends that I have made in tropical climates over the last 3 years.  As a snow ball rolls down a hill, it picks up more snow as snow sticks to snow, thus the ball will increase in size as it rolls.) 

As humans we tend to spend time doing those things we enjoy.

The more we enjoy something, the more time and attention we will devote to it.

As we spend more time doing it, we become better at it.

When we are good at something, and improving, we tend to do it more.

So, the snowball of mlm success will build.  

The tip is to have fun doing your network marketing.  There are many different activities and skills that are part of mlm success.  You don't have to be great at all of them.  If you enjoy just one or two, and build your network around those interests and activities - you will "roll" into success. 

You may enjoy the computer.  It may be talking on the phone.  It may be writing good material.  It may be leadership or mentoring.  Whatever it is, isn't as important as you make sure you are having a blast at doing certain aspects of your business.  The joy will see you through the things less pleasurable, and the harder seasons.

My wife loves to go shelling.  She has been on some of the best beaches in the world; Florida, Hawaii, Fiji Islands, New Zealand, etc.  Some places are great for shelling, others so - so.  Some days she finds some of God's awesome treasures, other days, nothing.  She is good at it because she enjoys the process, regardless of the success of the day.

What is it about network marketing you enjoy?  If you are doing it just for the money - my tip to you is to find something you enjoy instead.  Most people won't stick with any activity if it isn't pleasurable at some level. 

Once you know the thing(s) you enjoy about mlm, then make sure you are building your business with those as primary ingredients to your strategies and activities.
