Support Raising Training for Missionaries & MLM

A big part of the reason we were able to transition into full time missions work was that the power of residual income through the mlm industry had produced a freedom in our lives that few know about or achieve.  We can live where we want and pretty much do what we want because our income is not tied to a job or geography.  We have many wonderful supporters to our ministry also and can act as a conduit to provide funds to some incredible young people all over the globe serving the Lord as missionaries.

That is all back drop to convey what I discovered upon entering YWAM, Youth With A MIssion.  Everyone in YWAM raises their own support!  It has been that way from its conception by Loren Cunningham and continues that way for almost 50 years now.

Three of my daughters have also been a part of YWAM and did their own support raising.  When my wife and I entered YWAM I was a bit surprised to discover there is very little support raising training in YWAM.  As someone who is older, I soon found that the skills I had developed as a network marketing trainer and coach could easily be applied to fundraising.  Most, if not almost all, of the young people in YWAM have no experience or training in raising support.

Another organization, Campus Crusade for Christ, has a different philosophy, and provides some training, but nothing as good or thorough as can be provided by good mlm training.

It was in this light and experience I went about to create a web site that would provide solid support raising strategies and training for those young people coming into YWAM - particularly those who wanted to make missions a career choice.  After a few weeks of transitioning what I know to be effective and fruitful sales training into the sphere of the missionary I created this site to asist any missionary that raises their own support:

http://www.missionaryfundraiser.com

My hope is that this information gets into the hands of every young (or old) person that is looking to fulfill the Great Commission, but needs to raise their own support to fulfill their destiny.  This site covers everything from the philosopy and theology to the tools and pragmatics of a missionary calling.

If you happen to visit and have a heart for missions, please give me any feedback here so I can make it better.  Also - pass the link onto your missionary friends.
